I’m sponsoring/speaking at this great event called VISION East @ Surfcomber in South Beach, FL on Feb 26-27.  It is unlike any other conference.  Expect smaller groups and more collaborative dialogues with your peers vs. lectures and exhibit halls.  This is 100% FREE to you as a global procurement / TA leader.  Contact [email protected] for more info.

Depending on the quality of the swag, send 50-75% of the total number of attendees.  For VISION East and West, expect 80 people total (1/2 buyers).  For Enterprise Roundtables, expect 60 people.

View and Print the following Guide

Setup:

  • A roundtable setup with 10-14 chairs.
  • No PowerPoints, microphones, recordings, or slide shows.

Framing the Roundtable:

  • Introduction (7-10 minutes) – Introduce yourself and your role.
    • Eg. “Hi, I’m Rick from AgileOne, and I handle all the Data & Analytics for our program at Delta Airlines. My client, Dan and I will share how we use Data & Analytics to drive decisions in our MSP program and the successes we’ve achieved.”
  • Encourage the client to share their perspective.

Setting Expectations:

  • Clarify the goal of the session:
    • “We want your input on Data & Analytics and to hear your experiences. Every voice at the roundtable is valuable.”

Ground Rules:

  • Request permission to redirect the dialogue as needed to ensure balanced participation:
    • “Given our time constraints, I may redirect the conversation to keep it flowing.”

Facilitating the Discussion by encouraging Participation:

  • Aim to get the Enterprise to speak as much as possible.
  • Avoid selling services; focus on sharing solutions and results.

Engage Attendees:

  • Ask open-ended questions to stimulate conversation.
  • Encourage attendees to share their questions and experiences.

Foster a Collaborative Atmosphere:

  • Remind everyone that multiple voices contribute to a more engaging and memorable discussion.

Wrap Up:

  • Summarize key points discussed.
  • Thank everyone for their participation.

Create an enjoyable and interactive environment for all! Have fun!

Expect the attendee list with names 1-2 weeks before the event.  You can also view the event site to see the majority of the buyers confirmed.

Share this Google Doc with any Buyer who needs to justify their attendance.

The Communications Decency Act or “CDA”, 47 U.S.C. § 230(c)(1), states, “No provider or user of an interactive computer service shall be treated as the publisher or speaker of any information provided by another information content provider.” Because the information supplied to this list is authored by users of VMS Accelerator’s, Inc. site, we cannot be legally regarded as the “publisher or speaker” of that information. The same law applies to sites like Facebook or GlassDoor – users who post information on these sites are responsible for what they write, but the operators of the sites are not. This is also consistent with our website Terms of Use.

The reasons for this law are to protect free speech and to encourage the availability of information on the Internet. See generally Batzel v. Smith, 333 F.3d 1018, 1027-28 (9th Cir. 2003) (recognizing, “Making interactive computer services and their users liable for the speech of third parties would severely restrict the information available on the Internet.”). See also Caraccioli v. Facebook, Inc., 167 F. Supp.3d 1056, 1065 (N.D. Cal. 2016) (purpose of CDA immunity is “to spare interactive computer service providers the ‘grim choice’ of becoming fully responsible for third-party content” by permitting them some ability to edit third-party content without also becoming liable for all defamatory or otherwise unlawful messages that they do not edit or delete.) We cannot possibly monitor the accuracy of the huge volume of information we are receiving for this list. If interactive websites were liable for information that the site did not create, this would restrict free speech, as fewer and fewer sites would be willing to permit users to post anything at all.
