The Scope of Supplier Diversity is expansive
Supplier diversity, diverse spend, and diversity demographics are just a few of the questions Enterprise Leaders must consider when designing a Supplier diversity program. However – aligning a Supplier Diversity program to other corporate strategies and initiatives may make even more sense.
Consider Corporate Responsibility
Aligning your Supplier Diversity Strategy with your company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program is a key pillar for many organizations. By doing so you will get key executive and stake-holder buy-in for your program. Thus, your program is viewed as a vehicle that augments the company’s goal of accountability to the community and stakeholders at large.
There are at least six (6) other areas of focus when creating your Supplier Diversity Strategy that must be taken into consideration. These include:
- Supplier Certification
- Increasing Supplier Diversity
- Measuring and Increasing Diverse Spend
- Vendor D&I Support
- Workplace Data and reporting
- Leveraging new technologies to attract diversity
Each of these areas above are addressed in detail in the First Chapter of the D,E & I workbook created by the ClubVMSA Enterprise Mastermind Group.
The Mastermind group is composed of the top minds and leaders in Talent Acquisition, Global Procurement and Contingent Workforce Management who have come together to solve the D,E & I problem by combining their collective experiences and talents.
